SYNOPSIS (fr)
Guru, la vingtaine, est fou amoureux d'une de ses collègues de bureau, Mala, avec qui il travaille dans un centre d'appels à Agra. Il habite toujours chez ses parents, au rez-de-chaussée de la maison avec sa mère, tandis que son père vit à l'étage avec sa maîtresse. Quand Guru annonce qu'il va se marier avec Mala, tout bascule. Les frustrations, les fêlures et les haines familiales éclatent au grand jour, symptômes d'une société indienne marquée par le poids des traditions et des multiples tabous.
SYNOPSIS (eng)
Guru, a young man in his twenties, works in a call center in Agra. In love with Mala, a work colleague, he stills lives with his parents, whose house is divided in two parts. Guru lives on the ground floor with his mother while his father is upstairs with his mistress. when Guru announces that he wants to marry Mala, and make the terrace of the house his future bedroom, nothing goes as planned. Frustrations, faults and family hatreds come to light, symptoms of an Indian patriarchal society with many taboos.
